Barminco Perth, Western Australia, Australia. Due to a new project in Elko, Nevada, USA, we have an exciting prospect for an Experienced Underground Auto Electrician to join our US Operations on a 7 days on 7 days off residential roster.
n
The emphasis of the role is ensuring that local workers are developing their skills and knowledge by sharing your experience and being a role model. You will require boundless energy, resilience, determination, and a genuine interest in working with people from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities
n
n
Carry out scheduled servicing to mobile equipment in a safe manner and in accordance with procedures, regulations, and the service sheet.
n
Utilise skill and experience to create minimum downtime on machinery.
n
Ensure correct recording and reporting of maintenance is achieved.
n
Maintain a high level of housekeeping in workshop and working areas at all times, ensure all parts are kept at minimum stock levels.
n
Read and interpret Service and Spare parts manuals.
n
Report all equipment faults to the Maintenance Foreman for scheduling into the workshop weekly.
n

Minimum Requirements
n
n
A demonstrated passion for safety and a proactive attitude toward ensuring that safety is front of mind for all employees at all times.
n
A sound knowledge on Sandvik U/G
Development/Production
Drills and Loaders
n
Experience on Caterpillar Underground Loaders
n




Proven knowledge on remote control systems either RCT or Automine.
n
Experienced in training less qualified tradespeople to a high standard in a high productivity underground contracting mining environment.
n
Strong background working with latest generation underground mobile equipment and associated automation systems.
n
At least 5 years post apprenticeship experience working within the underground mining industry on large mobile equipment.
n
Self-starter who will work with minimal supervision.
n
Excellent service and maintenance approach to the job.
n
International Driver's License.
n
n

A full pre-employment medical is required, including a drug and alcohol screen, and site-specific clearances. A Federal Police Clearance and any necessary tickets or qualifications are required to be presented at the time of interview.
