St John of God South West Community Alcohol and Drug Service (SWCADS)
provides free, evidence-based alcohol and other drug support services across Western Australia's South West region.
Through a compassionate, person-centred approach, we help individuals and families better understand, reduce and address harmful alcohol and drug use. We recognise that substance use can impact all aspects of life, including health, relationships, employment, family and community wellbeing.
Our multidisciplinary team delivers holistic, non-judgemental care focused on recovery, hope and positive outcomes. Working closely with GPs, hospitals, mental health services, schools, justice agencies, local governments and community organisations, we ensure people can access the right support, at the right time.
About the role
Join the South West Community Alcohol and Drug Service (SWCADS) and play an important role in supporting the delivery of community-based alcohol and drug services. In this position, you will provide high-quality administrative and reception support to a multidisciplinary team, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the service.
Key responsibilities
Providing reception and front desk support, including telephone enquiries and client greetings.
Managing diaries, appointments and incoming referrals.
Performing general administrative duties including correspondence, filing and record management.
Assisting clinical staff with administrative requirements.
Processing invoices and supporting accounts payable functions.
Maintaining personnel records and staffing information.
Supporting onboarding and orientation activities for new staff, students and volunteers.




Coordinating information and communication across the service.
You are a proactive and organised administrator with demonstrated experience in reception, administrative support and accounts payable functions. With strong communication and interpersonal skills, you can build positive working relationships, manage confidential information with discretion, and effectively balance competing priorities in a busy environment. You are confident using Microsoft Office applications and take pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work with minimal supervision.
Experience within a health, community or human services setting will be highly regarded, along with an understanding of the importance of providing professional and responsive support to both clients and colleagues. You will bring a commitment to service excellence, strong problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative approach to supporting the South West Community Alcohol and Drug Service team.
Previous Executive or Personal Assistant experience, conflict resolution skills and a current driver's licence are desirable.

We can offer you
Salary:
$71,352 to $77,022, plus 12% superannuation
Permanent part-time, working 22.8 hours per week
