Data Centre Field Infrastructure Engineer | NV1

Work as a Data Centre Field Infrastructure Engineer planning, building and maintaining secure, reliable and scalable ICT infrastructure across a major government technology program. This NSW contract runs to 30 June **** with two 12-month extension options.

Contract Duration: Contract to 30 June **** + 12 months + 12 months

Security Clearance Requirement: NV1
n
Closing Date: 10:00am, 11 September ****

Essential Tasks
n
n
Plan, design, build and maintain secure, reliable and scalable data centre infrastructure.
n
Coordinate infrastructure changes, troubleshoot complex issues and lead major incident response and recovery activities.
n
Oversee rack allocation, power utilisation, cabling standards, infrastructure design and lifecycle planning.
n
Provide technical guidance, lead technical activities and manage project risks, deliverables and documentation.
n

Key Criteria
n
n




Strong background planning and building safe, high-power and reliable data centre facilities.
n
Experience across ICT infrastructure, including network, server and cloud environments.
n
Strong technical troubleshooting, change management, incident response and root cause analysis capability.
n
ITIL, Microsoft or Cisco certifications, or AutoCAD/Visio drafting experience, would be advantageous.
