We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is integral to delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory services, managing client portfolios, supporting complex tax matters, and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities
n
n
Review and manage income tax, BAS and FBT lodgements
n
Provide ongoing support and advisory services to clients
n
Working with the Audit team, prepare tax calculation, DTA/DTL for audited financials
n
Recommend and apply new strategies based on new legislative changes for the portfolio of clients
n
Streamline procedures and offer recommendations on how the tax filing process can run more efficiently
n
Review potential profitability areas to save on taxes and analysing any additional tax information
n
Coach, mentor and review the work of junior accountants to build competence and improve productivity
n
n
Qualifications
n
n
A minimum of four years' experience in external public practice
n
A solid understanding of relevant income tax and other legislation
n
Competent in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and activity statements for companies, trusts,



partnerships and individuals with minimal supervision
n
Experienced in managing tax issue Div 7A, FBT, CGT, SGC and tax residency
n
The ability to actively manage client engagements and deliver them within budgets
n
Some working knowledge of Accounting standards.
n
High level of computer literacy, with an excellent understanding of accounting software
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
Strong organisation and follow up skills including the ability to handle competing priorities and meet all deadlines and commitments
n
Broad commercial expertise and judgement, as well as excellent analytical skills
n
Excellent attention to detail
n

Qualifications / Certifications
n
Degree qualified in accounting, business or commerce
n
CA or CPA qualified (Prefered)
