Are you an experienced Registered Nurse who loves developing people and improving clinical practice?
Ashfield Baptist Homes is looking for a passionate Clinical Educator to join our team and play a key role in building clinical capability across our residential and home care services.
This is more than a training role. You'll have the opportunity to shape clinical practice, mentor our care teams and help ensure our residents receive safe, high-quality and person-centred care.
Why this role?
As our Clinical Educator, you will be at the heart of our clinical education and development program.
You'll work closely with Registered Nurses, care staff, management and our Quality team to identify education needs, deliver engaging training and ensure staff have the skills and confidence to provide excellent care.
Your role will include:
Developing and delivering clinical education and competency programs
Facilitating mandatory education and annual refresher training
Supporting the orientation and development of new staff
Providing clinical guidance, mentoring and support to care teams
Developing and reviewing clinical competencies and education resources
Delivering education in areas such as infection control, manual handling, clinical practice and trauma-informed care
Maintaining accurate training, education and competency records
Working with the Quality Coordinator to support continuous improvement, audits and accreditation
Ensuring education programs align with the Aged Care Act **** and Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
Supporting visiting students and education placements
What you'll bring




We're looking for a Registered Nurse who combines strong clinical knowledge with a genuine passion for teaching, mentoring and developing others.
You will ideally have:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Experience in clinical education within aged care or a health environment
Demonstrated experience developing, delivering and assessing clinical education
Certificate IV in Training and Education
Solid knowledge of aged care clinical practice and the Aged Care Quality Standards
Experience with iCARE and AN-ACC
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team
Robust organisation and time-management skills
A genuine commitment to person-centred care and supporting the dignity, independence and choice of residents
A current National Police Check and evidence of your legal entitlement to work in Australia are also required.
