OZZIE GREEN ENERGY (SOORIYAN SOLAR PTY LTD) is a privately owned Australian proprietary company conveniently situated in 7 Goss Rd, Lewiston SA ****. OZZIE GREEN ENERGY is a fast-growing company specialising in renewable energy,
telecommunications,
and infrastructure solutions, providing solar installation, maintenance, telecommunications and field services to residential/ commercial clients.

We are looking for a permanent full-time Telecommunications Field Engineer to join our team. The business is at 7 Goss Rd, Lewiston SA ****. Competitive compensation based on experience and skill level.

RESPONSIBILITIES
n
n
Plans and supports NBN and telecommunications projects, including fibre, civil and network installation works.
n
Visit sites to check installation needs, cable routes, equipment locations, site access and possible risks before work starts.
n
Installs, tests and monitors telecommunications equipment and infrastructure, including fibre-optic cables, pits, conduits, routers, switches and network equipment.
n
Sets up and connects telecommunications equipment with computers, software, operating systems and network devices.
n
Tests fibre-optic cables and network equipment using tools such as optical power meters, OTDRs, cable testers, and network testing equipment.
n
Finds and fixes network faults, equipment problems, connection issues, cable defects, and installation problems.
n
Carries out regular maintenance, repairs and upgrades to telecommunications equipment and infrastructure.
n
Checks network performance, reviews test results and suggests improvements or repair works where needed.
n
Keeps accurate records of site work, testing, equipment, materials used, faults,
repairs and completed installations.
n
Keeps track of telecommunications tools, equipment, materials and network assets.
n
Provides technical support and advice to project managers, clients, subcontractors and field staff.
n
Works with suppliers, subcontractors and service providers to organise field work, equipment, project schedules and technical requirements.
n
Assists with planning and delivering fibre deployment, network upgrades, recent connections and telecommunications infrastructure works.
n
Makes sure all work follows approved plans, technical requirements, company procedures, safety rules and relevant regulations.
n
Prepares site reports, sketches, diagrams, test records, commissioning documents and completion reports.

ATTRIBUTES
n
n
A Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree in
Telecommunications,
Electronics, Network Engineering, Communications Technology or a similar field is required.
n
Applicants without a formal qualification may be considered if they have at least three years of full-time experience in telecommunications field engineering and/or relevant industry or vendor certificates.
n
Experience installing, commissioning, testing, monitoring, maintaining and repairing telecommunications networks and equipment is required.
n
Experience with fibre-optic networks, NBN-related works, cabling, network equipment, testing tools and technical documents is preferred.
n
Ability to find and fix telecommunications network or equipment faults, provide technical advice, prepare reports and work safely at field sites is required.
n
Committed to adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents.
