The Role
A rewarding opportunity has presented itself for a dedicated and driven leader to join our Roads Operations team as Team Leader Roads - Asphalt.
In this role you will lead a team that focusses on maintaining and improving roads within the local government area.
*This opportunity will be offered on a permanent full-time basis.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
Assist the Coordinator Roads Operations with the operation of the units Maintenance activities
Provide assistance and advice to staff, customers and the community where necessary
Ensure all works comply with relevant acts and standards
Control, monitor and respond to program departures Ensure the operating of minor plant items/hand tools in accordance with SWP's provided
Maintain and develop professional knowledge and keep abreast of initiatives and changes in areas related to the position
Operate and maintain computer systems for the collection and processing of resources
Provide monthly reports detailing the status of work programs in line with service agreements and rosters
Prepare and authorise purchase requisitions in line with budget delegations and allowances
Lead, Supervise and direct teams to ensure the efficient and effective use of resources.

You will have:
Tertiary qualifications in civil road construction or similar relevant experiences
Current Class C Drivers Licence
WH&S; White Card
Previous leadership experience involving planning and coordination of a number of simultaneous projects in road construction operations
Previous leadership roles in Asphalt and Civil construction works
Excellent customer service liaison skills
Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Pathway
The salary range for this opportunity starts at $97,327(Grade G, Step 1) + Car Allowance + 12% super.
Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience.
