Job Details u&u; Recruitment Partners is thrilled to be partnering with an established international project solutions business at an exciting point in its growth trajectory.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a newly created Senior Business Development Manager opportunity and the first dedicated commercial hire in the business.
You'll play a key role in shaping and growing its accommodation and major projects channel from Sydney.
The focus will be across PBSA, hotels, BTR, co-living and larger apartment programs, with the opportunity to build senior relationships, open doors and win projects across selected national and multi-site rollouts.
About the opportunity: This is a genuine hunter role, focused on opening doors, building senior relationships and creating a strong pipeline of commercially viable opportunities.
Build relationships with developers, accommodation operators, architects, PMs, builders and procurement teams
Identify opportunities early and secure involvement before formal tender
Originate and convert projects ranging from hundreds of thousands to $20m+
Lead opportunity and tender strategy alongside project, commercial, design and manufacturing teams
Build repeatable customer and sector relationships
Own pipeline, forecasting and commercial opportunity qualification
Work hand in glove with the CEO to define commercial strategies
About you: We're looking for approximately 10 years' experience across business development, client leadership, preconstruction or commercial projects.
Your background could be across commercial FF&E;, joinery, architectural products, fit out, shopfitting, construction, PBSA, hotels, BTR, multi-residential or major rollouts.
You'll bring an entrepreneurial mindset,



a real drive to make things happen, and the ambition to work alongside experienced leaders as the business enters an exciting phase of growth, with potential for a future listing.
We're looking for someone who's energised by the prospect to leverage their network, build strong senior relationships, identify opportunities early and ultimately win work they're proud of.
You'll also need strong commercial judgement and enough technical understanding to work confidently across drawings, specifications, scope, pricing, margin and project risk.
What you'll build: This is an opportunity to build something from the ground up, rather than step into an established patch.
You'll start as a senior individual contributor, with genuine scope to shape the channel, build a team and step into broader Business Unit leadership as the opportunity grows.
