Position Information
Nangamay Public School is a new school that opened in January **** and has a current enrolment of 460 students.
The school has 18 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and 31% EAL/D with classes in kindergarten through to Year 6 and three Multi Categorical Inclusive Educational classes.
Nangamay Public School was built to meet the need of existing and future enrolment growth in the emerging suburbs across the Glenmore Park area.
Housed in brand-current, state-of-the-art facilities, Nangamay Public School has a strong focus on high-quality future-focused learning with a commitment to excellence and achievement in all areas of education which shapes learning experiences that are authentic, challenging, and participatory.
The school is focused on evidence-informed practice, including the explicit teaching of reading and numeracy and the ongoing monitoring of student progress.
Teaching and learning programs are informed by the regular collection and analysis of student assessment data to ensure differentiation and responsiveness to student need.
The school is supported by strong community connection and is part of the Glenmore Park Learning Alliance and the Yarramundi AECG.




Specific Selection Criteria
In addition to the general selection criteria,
Approval to teach special education and/or experience in successfully leading support unit staff to deliver high-qualityindividualised supports, learning plans, and strategies that meet students' needs.
Demonstrated ability to lead and support initiatives that strengthen an inclusive school culture.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, families and external stakeholders, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment that promotes understanding and collaboration.
General Selection Criteria
Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.




If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
