About the Role
The
Governance Coordinator
plays a key role in supporting effective governance and decision-making across the University.
Reporting to the Associate Director Governance, you will provide high-quality governance coordination, secretariat and administrative support to University Council, its committees and the University Executive Board.
Working with senior leaders, Council members and key stakeholders, you will coordinate governance meetings, maintain governance records, prepare reports and briefing papers, and provide advice on governance protocols, policies and procedures.
This is an excellent opportunity for a governance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced setting, handling sensitive matters with discretion and contributing to high-quality decision-making at the highest levels of the University.
About the Team
The Governance and Policy team sits within the Vice-Chancellor's Office and plays a critical role in supporting the University's leadership and governing bodies.
We are trusted advisors, providing expert governance guidance, facilitating effective decision-making, and ensuring the University's governance frameworks remain robust and contemporary.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented professional who can build strong relationships and deliver high-quality outcomes in a dynamic environment.
Experience in governance, executive support, company secretariat,



compliance or a related administrative environment.
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
Strong written communication skills, including the ability to prepare agendas, reports, minutes and briefing materials to a high standard.
Excellent stakeholder management skills and the confidence to work with senior leaders and governing bodies.
Sound judgement, discretion and the ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to identify opportunities to enhance processes and systems.
High-level attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
A degree in business, law, public administration, governance, communications, or a related discipline

Level 6/7 | $96,898 - $119,986 + 17% Superannuation
Position Description
Location: Wollongong Campus / Hybrid
