This is an established private practice offering an immediate GP referral base from day one, working alongside experienced gastroenterologists and in a multidisciplinary team with colorectal and general surgeons.
The position would be offered alongside a 0.4 EFT gastroenterologist appointment at Grampians Health Ballarat — an initial 6-month term with the possibility of extension to 12 months, and the potential to continue in a public sector role thereafter.
The service has a growing team with room for a new gastroenterologist; current subspecialty services include endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), advanced endoscopic therapeutics including EMR, IBD multidisciplinary care (with intestinal ultrasound from ****) and hepatology, with close links to Melbourne tertiary hospitals.
The successful applicant could contribute to and expand these services, or pursue their own subspecialty interests.
Ballarat is one of regional Victoria's largest and fastest-growing cities, offering a lifestyle and cost of living Melbourne can't match — heritage character, excellent schools, a strong food, arts and sporting scene, and easy access to the Grampians and beyond.
We are looking for a gastroenterologist keen to settle in the region for the longer term.
The ideal candidate will have MBBS FRACP GESA accreditation.
We acknowledge and pay respect to the Traditional Custodians and Elders — past, present and emerging — of the lands and waters on which RACP members and staff live, learn and work.
