You have strong analytical and communication skills, expertise in evidence gathering, problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution, and the ability to interpret policies and functions to provide high-quality support and advice.
In this role, you'll:
Supports the delivery of road safety outcomes across the region through the investigation of safety issues, application of Safe System principles, and delivery of programs that provide community safety outcomes.
Coordinate road safety reviews, applying a Safe System approach to identify risks and recommend evidence-based improvements.
Triage and coordinate speed zone reviews and work with Network Solutions on the comprehensive reviews ensuring consistency, accuracy, and community safety outcomes
Provide clear and timely safety advice to external agencies, and community stakeholders to improve network performance and customer safety
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Councils, community groups, government agencies, service providers and operators to ensure community needs are understood and addressed.
Lead interface with a range of Transport programs in partnership with stakeholders, including planning, coordination, monitoring and reporting, to achieve strong community safety and transport outcomes.
Provide timely and considered responses to customer and stakeholder enquiries, ensuring a customer focused approach to problem-solving and service delivery
This role will be based in Grafton covering the North Coast precinct.
This role is hybrid friendly meaning flexible work options may be available.
Experience in undertaking safety assessments, crash investigations, and/or speed zone reviews, with ability to analyse and interpret technical data.
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with experience collaborating across councils, government agencies, and community groups.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, provide advice, and represent Transport in public forums.
