The WHS Inspector (Adelaide metro-based) is responsible for promoting and enforcingwork health and safety and public safety standards across South Australia.Reporting to the Team Leader, the role engages with workers, employers andindustry stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant legislation throughinspections, audits, investigations and incident responses.
Key components of the role include:
Conducting proactive and reactive workplaceinspections, audits and investigations, including responses to notifiableincidents.
Interpretingand applying WHS legislation and issuing statutory notices where required.
Providingclear advice, education and guidance to promote safe, fair and productiveworkplaces.
Managingcases, records and reports in accordance with legislative andorganisational requirements.
Special Conditions
National Police Check required.
Employment-related Screening Check required.
Some out of hours work may be required.
Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.
Must hold a current Australian issued driver's licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
