Position Information
Holroyd High School is a small, successful comprehensive high school with a current enrolment of 560 students 7-12, including 90% non-English speaking backgrounds.
As a proudly diverse and inclusive institution, we place a strong emphasis on Visible Learning to build high expectations for all students, and Choice Theory to foster a culture of autonomy, collaboration, and responsibility, creating a secure and nurturing environment where all can thrive.
The school has an Intensive English Centre for newly arrived students of non-English speaking background and a support unit for students with an intellectual disability and/or autism.
The school receives equity funding to support students from low socio-economic backgrounds.

An exemplary instructional leader with a demonstrated capacity to build skilled teaching practices through collaborative professional learning focused on explicit teaching and differentiation that improve outcomes for diverse learners and strengthen literacy, numeracy and HSC achievement.
Demonstrated capacity to lead the educational and operational complexity of a diverse comprehensive school with distinct provisions for mainstream, Intensive English Centre and Inclusive Education settings.
Demonstrated capacity to lead an inclusive school culture that is responsive to cultural, linguistic and socioeconomic diversity, disability, and the complex learning, wellbeing and support needs of students, through authentic student voice and genuine partnerships with staff, parents and the wider community.
General Selection Criteria
High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education
Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs
High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community
Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning
Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning




Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policy and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people
