The WHS Inspector is responsible for promoting and enforcing work health and safety and public safety standards across South Australia.
Reporting to the Team Leader, the role engages with workers, employers and industry stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant legislation through inspections, audits, investigations and incident responses.
Two positions are available, with one based in Port Pirie and one based in Whyalla.
Key components of the role include:
Conducting proactive and reactive workplace inspections, audits and investigations, including responses to notifiable incidents.
Interpreting and applying WHS legislation and issuing statutory notices where required.
Providing clear advice, education and guidance to promote safe, fair and productive workplaces.
Managing cases, records and reports in accordance with legislative and organisational requirements.
Special Conditions
National Police Check required.
Employment-related Screening Check required.
Some out of hours work may be required.
Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required.




Must hold a current Australian issued driver's licence (equivalent to minimum class C).
