We are seeking an experienced, innovative and highly motivated Head of Department (Curriculum) to provide strategic leadership in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of our school's curriculum, teaching and learning practices.
This key leadership role will work collaboratively with school leaders and teaching staff to ensure curriculum programs are aligned with curriculum requirements, responsive to student needs and designed to maximise engagement, achievement and future pathways.
This is a temporary full time position until 04 December ****, unless otherwise determined.

About Us
Established in ****, Richmond State School is a co-educational facility offering a range and variety of learning experiences for students in Prep to Year 10.
It caters for approximately 100 students from the rural community of Richmond, which is situated on the Flinders Highway approximately half way between Townsville and Mt Isa.
We are committed to ensuring that our students are provided with a broad range of learning opportunities which not only engage them but also challenge them to achieve their personal best.

About the Role:
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
Provide strategic curriculum leadership
by developing and implementing a shared educational vision that promotes high-quality teaching, learning and outcomes for all students.
Promote equity, inclusion and high expectations
, embedding socially just practices and setting high standards for student achievement and staff performance.
Lead continuous improvement and professional learning
, fostering evidence-informed practice, innovation, lifelong learning and ongoing development of teaching capability.
Build collaborative partnerships
with students, parents, staff, government agencies and community organisations to strengthen curriculum opportunities and support positive student outcomes.
Ensure effective governance and resource management
through knowledge of relevant legislation and policies and the strategic management of human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources to achieve school and program goals.
