At Brotherhood of St. Laurence (BSL), we are seeking a passionate People and Culture Business Partner to join our dedicated team HR Business Partnering team.
As BSL embarks on a new phase following an organisational restructure, we are transforming the way we support our people and operate our Human Resources function.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced People & Culture Business Partner who will work closely with leaders to deliver practical people solutions that support business performance, employee engagement, and organisational culture.
This is a strategic and hands on role, partnering with leaders across the employee lifecycle while driving workforce planning, change initiatives, and leadership capability.
Partner with leaders to develop and implement people strategies aligned to business priorities.
Provide expert advice on workforce planning, employee engagement, performance, succession planning, and organisational change.
Support leaders in managing employee matters and building high performing teams.
Identify and manage people, culture, and psychosocial safety risks and opportunities.
Lead and support change initiatives, restructures,
engagement action plans, and cultural improvement programs.
Analyse workforce and organisational data to inform decision making and improve outcomes.
Build leadership capability through coaching, guidance, and best practice people management.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including unions where required, to maintain positive working relationships.
Oversee employee relations matters and partner with specialists on complex cases.
Contribute to continuous improvement across People & Culture policies, processes, and programs.

What we are looking for
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual who has a passion for supporting the mission of BSL and delivering excellence in your role.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who has the following key skills and experiences:
Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification.
Relevant post graduate qualification desirable.
Solid stakeholder management skills and experience.
Extensive and broad experience providing expert support in HR Business Partnering or a related role.
Significant relevant experience within large, diverse and complex organisations which are fast-paced and dynamically changing.
Demonstrated experience coaching and mentoring others.
Demonstrated experience in effective conflict resolution and grievance management through mediation and conciliation.
