About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused
Human Resources Manager - WA/NT
to lead the people function across Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
This is the senior HR leadership role for the region, responsible for partnering with operational and executive leaders to develop and implement people strategies that support organisational growth, workforce capability, employee engagement, and business performance.
Reporting to the National Manager - HR, the successful candidate will serve as the key HR leader for the WA/NT region, providing strategic direction, expert advice, and leadership across all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
The role requires a proactive and influential HR professional capable of balancing strategic workforce planning with operational HR excellence in a dynamic project-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of the HR strategy across the WA/NT region, ensuring alignment with broader organisational objectives
Act as the primary HR advisor to regional operational leaders and senior management teams
Provide leadership and oversight across all employee relations, industrial relations, workforce planning, talent management, and organisational development activities
Partner with business leaders to drive workforce capability, succession planning, leadership development, and talent retention initiatives
Lead complex employee and industrial relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary processes, grievances, disputes, and performance management cases
Provide expert advice on employment legislation, modern awards, enterprise agreements, and organisational policies
Drive employee engagement, culture, diversity, wellbeing, and inclusion initiatives across the region
Analyse workforce trends, people metrics, and organisational data to inform strategic decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives
Support organisational change, business transformation, mobilisation, and growth initiatives across the region
Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR programs, policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
Collaborate with recruitment, payroll, learning and development, and operational teams to deliver consistent and effective people outcomes
Ensure compliance with all relevant employment legislation, company policies, and governance requirements
Build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, influencing decisions that support positive business outcomes
Significant experience in a Human Resources Manager, Senior Human Resources Business Partner,



Human Resources Lead, or similar senior HR leadership role
Demonstrated success leading HR functions within complex, multi-site, project-based, or geographically dispersed organisations
Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Fair Work requirements, industrial relations frameworks, contemporary awards, and enterprise agreements
Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and executives to deliver strategic people initiatives and business outcomes
Extensive experience managing complex employee relations and industrial relations matters
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Employment Relations, Psychology, Law, or a related discipline
Experience supporting operations within the resources, construction, engineering, maintenance, infrastructure, or industrial services sectors
Experience leading HR functions across multiple states or regions

Essential
Significant experience in a Human Resources Manager, Senior Human Resources Business Partner, Human Resources Lead, or similar senior HR leadership role

Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Fair Work requirements, industrial relations frameworks, modern awards, and enterprise agreements
