We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA) with strong retail domain expertise to support ELERA pre-sales activities across APMEA, to be based in Melbourne.
This role will be responsible for translating retailer business needs into functional requirements, solution positioning, and demonstration scenarios, supporting RFP responses, Proof of Concepts (POCs), and customer engagements.
The ideal candidate brings a combination
of retail operations knowledge, POS/software exposure
, and strong stakeholder communication skills to engage audiences ranging from store operations teams to senior executives.

Excellent presentation and storytelling ability (from operational to executive level)
Ability to translate business needs into functional solutions
Proven experience in retail store solutions. Either from a technology, digital, or retail operations perspective is required. Candidates without relevant retail industry experience will not be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to RFP/RFI responses, ensuring alignment of ELERA capabilities to customer requirements
Analyze and structure functional requirements for retailer opportunities across APMEA
Collaborate with solution architects and pre-sales teams to position best-fit ELERA solutions
Solution Demonstration & POC Delivery
Configure ELERA solutions (functional configuration) for demos and Proof of Concepts (POCs)
Design and execute retail use cases and demo scenarios aligned to customer workflows
Deliver high-impact product demonstrations to multiple audience levels:
Store operations and business users
IT and architecture teams
Senior managers and executives
Product & Solution Alignment




Act as a liaison with the global product and engineering teams to:
Stay up-to-date on the latest features, roadmap, and releases
Provide field feedback based on customer needs
Ensure demo content and positioning reflect current and future ELERA capabilities
Stakeholder Engagement
Engage directly with customers to understand business processes and pain points
Support workshops and discovery sessions with retailers
Provide clear articulation of business value and functional benefits
High level of autonomy and ownership in a fast-paced pre-sales environment
Strong collaboration skills across global and regional teams
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor Degree - Computer/Business/Retail or a related field.
5+ years experience
Areas of Expertise & Skills
Mandatory
Retail industry experience (preferably with hands-on exposure to store operations)
Proven experience as a Business Analyst or functional consultant in pre-sales, implementation, or transformation programs
Robust experience in:
Requirements gathering and documentation
Customer-facing presentations and workshops
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Technical / Functional Skills
Understanding of retail systems and processes (POS, store operations, promotions, payments, etc.)
Exposure to POS software solutions (highly desirable)
Experience in solution demonstrations, POCs, or product configurations
Preferred / Differentiators
Experience working with enterprise retail platforms or SaaS solutions
Familiarity with API-driven or modular commerce architectures
Experience supporting large-scale retail transformation or RFP processes
Exposure to global or regional pre-sales environments
