THE ROLE
Sitting in the HR Divisional and Volume Recruitment team, the HR Adviser provides generalist human resources (HR) advice, coordinates recruitment and safety screening processes, maintains accurate and comprehensive employee records and provides assistance and support to managers and staff on routine and more complex HR matters.
In this role you will work specifically with the child protection program and oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including advertising, and on-boarding new starters, and support workforce planning, reporting, the application of policy, conditions of service and regular high level workforce metrics.
This position is a key component of the team's ongoing improvement in service delivery through preparation and overseeing the preparation of routine and more complex HR documents and the application of HR processes and systems.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
* Provide generalist human resources (HR) advice and support to managers and staff on a range of issues, routine and complex, including end to end recruitment, policies and practices, safety screening, leave queries and the appropriate Agreement in order to deliver high-quality services.
* Prepare, and oversee the preparation of routine HR documentation (such as job advertisements, position descriptions, selection reports, safety screening, contracts, etc) and apply HR processes and systems to proactively contribute to the ongoing review, development,
evaluation, streamlining and continuous improvement of the Department's HR functions to achieve effective, high-quality outcomes.
* Participate in the volume recruitment process including supporting programs, assisting and preparing for online assessment centres, reviewing and processing selection reports and on-boarding current starters.
* Delivering presentations and chairing meetings with clear and confident communication, constructive engagement, and a focus on achieving agreed outcomes.
