Senior Mechanical Engineer Brisbane, QLD | Hybrid Working Arrangement 12-Month Contract (Ongoing Potential) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a major mining and minerals project based in Brisbane.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale studies, FEED, and detailed design projects within a team-oriented EPCM environment.
You will be responsible for leading mechanical engineering activities from concept through to detailed design while providing technical leadership across multidisciplinary project teams.
Key Responsibilities Lead mechanical engineering activities from concept, FEED, and detailed design through project delivery.
Prepare and review calculations, specifications, datasheets, and technical reports.
Develop equipment specifications, procurement packages, and manage vendor interfaces.
Participate in HAZOPs, design reviews, constructability reviews, and risk assessments.
Support procurement, cost estimating, scheduling, change management, construction, and commissioning activities.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Mandatory RPEQ registration.
CPEng or equivalent registration is highly desirable.




10+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
Strong experience in Mining, Minerals Metals projects.
Demonstrated involvement in Studies, FEED, Detailed Design, and EPCM project delivery.
Proven experience with vendor management, package engineering, and multidisciplinary project coordination.
