07th September, **** Breight Group is currently seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager on a full-time basis to join our dynamic Access Team in a leadership position.
This role will have its main focus on operations and client relationship development.
The applicant should also be a strong safety leader in both process and personal safety with a risk-based mind-set.
You should be a strategic thinker with valuable business and commercial acumen the ability to work autonomously and within a team workplace.
Key Responsibilities: Lead shutdown planning, mobilisation, execution, and demobilisation activities.
Ensure shutdown readiness through effective planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
Coordinate labour, equipment, materials, and subcontractor requirements.
Deliver shutdowns safely while achieving productivity, quality, schedule, and budget targets.
Monitor progress and critical path activities, implementing recovery plans where required.
Lead and develop Superintendents, Coordinators, Supervisors, and site leadership teams.
Drive a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders About you: Demonstrated success delivering large-scale shutdowns, maintenance programs, or major projects in Australia.




7+ years' experience in senior leadership roles within the mining and resources sector.
Experience leading multidisciplinary access operational teams across multiple work sites.
Strong knowledge of shutdown planning, scheduling, mobilisation, execution, and close-out.
Proven experience managing budgets, resources, and operational performance.
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
A sound understanding of HSEQ, QA/QC, and risk management systems.
Mechanical and/or Rope Access experience qualifications is advantageous If you're organised, proactive, and ready to be the go-to person on site, we'd love to hear from you!
