The Role Lead the company's tax function across compliance, reporting, planning, and risk management.
Manage direct and indirect tax obligations, including income tax, GST/BAS, FBT, and other regulatory requirements.
Oversee preparation and review of tax returns, tax effect accounting, and year-end tax reporting processes.
Partner with finance and senior stakeholders to provide practical tax advice that supports business decisions and commercial outcomes.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess the impact on the business, ensuring ongoing compliance and proactive planning.
Manage relationships with external advisors,
auditors, and relevant regulatory bodies.
Support process improvement initiatives to strengthen controls, streamline reporting, and improve tax governance frameworks.
Contribute to broader finance projects, including business expansion, systems changes, and operational improvements where tax input is required.
About You You are an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Tax professional with strong technical knowledge across corporate tax and indirect tax.
You bring experience from either industry or professional services, ideally within a fast-moving, commercially focused environment.
You have a relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce, and CA, CPA, or CTA qualifications will be highly regarded.
You are confident interpreting legislation, identifying risk, and providing clear, practical advice to non-tax stakeholders.
You have strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
You are a strong communicator who can build trusted relationships across finance, leadership, and external partners.
Experience in technology, distribution, hardware, or product-based businesses will be advantageous.
