Cafs is seeking a skilled and compassionate Connecting Families Practitioner to join our team.
In this rewarding role, you will provide brief case management, assessment, parenting support and early intervention services to children and families.
You will work alongside families to build parenting capacity, strengthen protective factors and improve outcomes for children through connection to community supports and evidence-based programs.

The program focuses on promoting children's safety, stability and healthy development through early intervention, strengthening family relationships and improving access to broader community supports.
Practitioners work collaboratively with families and partner services to address concerns early and support positive, sustainable outcomes.
About You We are looking for a skilled, values-driven practitioner with experience working with vulnerable families, children and adolescents.
You will bring strong assessment and engagement skills, a family-centred approach and the ability to work collaboratively within community and service networks.
To be successful in this role, you will have: Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Welfare Studies, Family Therapy, Psychology or a related discipline.
Experience working with vulnerable families and adolescents.
Solid risk assessment, case management and family support skills.
Knowledge of child development, attachment, trauma-informed practice and family support frameworks.
Experience facilitating or co-facilitating parenting programs or groups.
Understanding of MARAM and child wellbeing frameworks.
Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
A commitment to child safety, inclusion and culturally responsive practice.
