Lead and oversee daily payroll operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness and quality standards
Motivate and guide the payroll team to deliver accurate, timely and customer-focused payroll services
Drive adoption of updated workflows and technologies and ensure team proficiency
Analyse and validate payroll data
Produce detailed reports for management, customers and regulatory bodies
Collaborate on improving payroll policies and compliance
Mentor team members and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
Support business reforms and service delivery
Implement the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and uphold its Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG
Requirements
Appropriate tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a relevant discipline, or demonstrated successful experience in stakeholder/customer engagement in a Shared Services/Payroll environment
Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
Demonstrated expertise in supporting and guiding payroll teams
Knowledge of payroll operations, data analysis and validation, reporting, workflows, technologies, policies and compliance
Commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG




Australian work rights: Australian citizenship, permanent residency, Current Zealand citizenship, or a valid work visa
Successful candidates must undertake pre-employment screening, including a National Criminal History Check
Successful candidates not currently employed by the Department must provide a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance number
