About therole:
Western Health is seeking an experienced Senior Mental Health Clinician (RPN4/OT4/SW4/P3) to join the Intensive Support Program at Maribyrnong Community Team/Saltwater Clinic. The role provides advanced, recovery-oriented clinical care to consumers with complex and high-risk mental health and psychosocial needs.
Key responsibilities include comprehensive assessment, formulation, evidence-based intervention, risk assessment and management, care coordination,outreachand assertive engagement. The Senior Clinicianprovidesclinical guidance and mentoring to colleagues and students, supports complex decision-making, workloadprioritizationand safe service delivery, and contributes to multidisciplinary care.
Applicantsrequiresubstantial public mental health experience, advanced clinical skills, strong knowledge of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act ****, anddemonstratedability to work collaboratively with consumers, families,carersand external services. Experience in trauma-informed, culturallysafeand recovery-focused practice is essential, along withstrong communication, documentation, organisational and clinical governance skills. A current Victorian driver'slicenceand relevant professional registration arerequired.
Keyresponsibilities:
As an RPN4 within ISP, you will:
Provide advanced assessment, evidence-basedinterventionsand recovery-focused care for consumers with complex mental health and psychosocial needs, including outreach and home visits.
Develop andmonitorcollaborative care plans, manage clinical risks, elevateconcernsand support complex/high-risk presentations.
Coordinate multidisciplinary care, liaise with internal and external services, advocate for consumers and ensure continuity of care.
Maintainaccurateclinical documentation and records, ensuring compliance with Western Health, ABF, legislative and professional requirements.
Provide clinical leadership through mentoring and supporting junior staff/students, contributing to handovers, clinical governance, quality improvement,supervisionand professional development.
Aboutyou:
Essential
5+ years' nursing or 7+ years' allied health experience in complex, high-demand clinical settings.
Solid knowledge of
consumer rights, recovery-focused care,AMHSand evidence-based interventions
.
Understanding of
professional ethics, mental health legislation, the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act ****, and public mental health policies
.
Demonstrated
clinical leadership,reliabilityand professionalism
.
Strong
communication,collaboration,problem-solvingand negotiation skills
.
Ability to work with
diverse consumers and families
using culturally sensitive, recovery-orientedpractice.
Experience working with
primary healthcare and community services
.
Current
Victorian driver'slicence
and professional registration.
