About the Role
In this newly created role, the Risk Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Pembroke School's operational risk management framework.
The role provides practical advice and oversight to support consistent and compliant risk management practices aligned to duty of care, legislative requirements and best practice. Working collaboratively with leaders across the School, the position supports the effective management of high-risk activities, critical incidents and organisational resilience, while fostering a proactive and accountable risk culture.
Key Responsibilities include:
Manage the implementation of all aspects of the operational risk management framework, including implementation of processes and procedures, tools and systems to identify, assess, measure and monitor risk aligned to ISO *****.
Documentation of policies and procedures to assist in identifying and evaluating new risks, elevating high priority risks to relevant PLT members and Principal as appropriate
Monitor changes in legislation, standards and emerging risks and assess their implications for the School's risk management framework.
Lead the implementation of software solutions to support the management of strategic and operational risk priorities.
Implement systems supporting risk assessments, consent, and medical information.
About You
The successful applicant will have a demonstrated ability to maintain a consultative approach to risk management, with a high level of attention to detail in identifying, assessing and managing risk.
You will bring:
Relevant tertiary qualifications (Risk, Business, WHS or Governance).
Sound knowledge of ISO ***** and contemporary risk management principles.
Demonstrated experience in risk management, compliance, or governance roles.
Experience implementing frameworks and systems in complex organisations.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Required for Employment (Prior to Commencement)
Current Working with Children Check (South Australia)
Current Plink RRHAN-EC training: Masterclass and Fundamentals, including Protective Practices
