Trainer (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)

We're looking for a Trainer to join our People, Culture & Capability team on a 12-month fixed term contract. In this role, you'll partner with our Membership Services and Claims teams to deliver impactful training, support employee development, and help create exceptional experiences for our members.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of facilitation, coaching, stakeholder engagement, learning design and continuous improvement, while seeing the direct impact of their work on employee success.

Who are we?
Teachers Health was created by teachers for teachers over 70 years ago and is the only health fund exclusively for the education community. As a not-for-profit health fund, we exist for our members covering the lives of over 500,000 teachers, education staff & their families.
What will you do? / How will you help?
As a Trainer, you'll play a key role in building the capability of our customer-facing teams by delivering engaging learning experiences and supporting employees throughout their development journey.
Key responsibilities include:
Deliver onboarding and role-based training for Membership Services, Claims and frontline employees
Facilitate engaging learning sessions in both classroom and virtual environments
Design,
develop and maintain training materials, assessments and learning resources
Provide coaching and ongoing support to recent and existing employees
Identify learning needs and opportunities to improve capability across the business
Partner with stakeholders to ensure training aligns with operational objectives and compliance requirements
Monitor training effectiveness and implement continuous improvements
Support the development of refresher training, learning modules and other capability initiatives
What do you need? / What are we looking for?
We're looking for someone who enjoys helping others succeed and can confidently translate complex information into engaging and practical learning experiences.
Experience delivering training, coaching or learning programs
Strong facilitation and presentation skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly
Experience building effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders
A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
Experience within Private Health Insurance, Claims, Membership Services or a similar customer-focused environment
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate
Knowledge of HAMBS, Civica Ensure or similar systems
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
