Position Details
St Thomas More Catholic Primary School is a single-stream regional school catering for about 220 students from Pre-Kindy to Year 6.
We are seeking a dynamic, highly skilled and passionate Junior Primary Teacher who is vibrant, enthusiastic and motivated and loves working in a collaborative, fun and engaging environment.
The position is a Temporary Full-Time position, with the possibility of being extended into the future.
Selection Criteria
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
A practising Catholic who has a commitment to contribute to the Catholicity of the school and its community
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated teaching team
A good understanding of the WA Curriculum with the ability to organise,



select and design data driven content and instruction demonstrating differentiated learning for all students
A solid understanding of how to teach Literacy and Numeracy integrating EYLF and NQS
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills and hold high expectations about children's ability to learn
An understanding of Explicit teaching and the use of High Impact Teaching Strategies
A willingness to be fully involved in the life of the school and take on extra roles as required
A positive, enthusiastic and dynamic demeanour
High level of skills in digital technologies and a commitment to use them as an integral part of the learning environment
Willingness to be a reflective member of a professional learning community
Qualifications Required
Relevant 4 Year tertiary teaching qualification
Accreditation to Teach Religious Education
