About the Role
This is an opportunity to step into a role where no two projects are necessarily the same. While your core focus will remain within electrical engineering, the nature of the work means you'll have the opportunity to get involved across different stages of projects, work alongside experienced engineers and automation specialists, and build an understanding of how electrical and control systems come together in a live project workplace.
What makes the opportunity interesting is the level of exposure available. You won't be confined to one system, client or way of working. Depending on the projects you become involved in, there is the potential to gain experience across different technologies, platforms and environments, including Schneider and Siemens.
For an engineer who enjoys learning and wants to continue developing technically, this provides an chance to broaden your skill set while gaining valuable exposure to the full project lifecycle, from design and engineering through to testing and commissioning.
There is also an exciting element of progression to the role. As you build your knowledge and become more involved across projects,
there is scope to take on greater responsibility and develop into areas that may not have been part of your experience to date. The business is continuing to grow, and the opportunity is there to grow alongside it.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering electrical engineering designs for industrial and water infrastructure projects
Preparing and reviewing SLDs, MCC & switchboard designs, cable schedules, load lists, calculations, and specifications
Liaising effectively with clients, contractors, site personnel, and project teams
Working alongside the project manager with planning, risk management, and technical delivery
The opportunity is there to work with PLC and SCADA specialists to ensure successful integration of various electrical and automation systems.

RPEQ (or on the pathway) is advantageous
