Bulk Group is looking for an experienced
Senior Fleet Allocator – Linehaul
to join our Network Operations team based in
Dandenong South
.
This is a key operational role for an experienced allocator who knows linehaul, understands the pressures of a live transport network and can confidently make the decisions needed to keep trucks, drivers and freight moving.
You'll take ownership of linehaul allocation across our network – planning movements, allocating fleet and drivers, managing schedules and customer time slots, and responding in real time as operational requirements change.
Proven linehaul fleet allocation experience is essential for this role. We're specifically looking for candidates with hands-on linehaul allocation experience, rather than local or metro fleet experience alone.
Working closely with our drivers, depot teams and wider Network Operations team, you'll also liaise directly with customers and their key contacts to manage requirements, resolve issues and deliver the service outcomes they expect.
What you'll be doing
Allocate trucks and drivers across our linehaul network.
Plan and coordinate daily and forward linehaul movements.
Manage driver availability, vehicle allocation, schedules and customer pickup and delivery time slots.
Monitor fleet movements and adjust allocations in real time to respond to delays, operational changes and customer requirements.
Maximise fleet utilisation while balancing service requirements, driver hours and operational constraints.
Coordinate subcontractors and backloads where required.
Work directly with drivers,



depot teams, customers and internal teams to resolve operational issues and keep freight moving.
Monitor schedules and on-time performance using our Transport Management System (TMS) and fleet tracking systems.
Maintain compliance with NHVR, fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
What we're looking for
Strong experience allocating trucks and drivers within a busy linehaul transport operation.
Experience coordinating a
company-owned heavy vehicle fleet
will be highly regarded.
Strong understanding of linehaul planning, driver hours, scheduling, customer time slots and operational constraints.
Sound knowledge of NHVR, fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.
Experience using a Transport Management System (TMS) and fleet tracking technology.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Confidence making operational decisions and adapting quickly when plans change.
The ability to manage competing priorities and stay across multiple fleet movements at once.
A proactive approach, you anticipate issues, follow things through and take ownership of outcomes.
Working Hours
This is a
full-time,



onsite position based at Bulk Group's national headquarters in Dandenong South
, co-located with our flagship 3PL warehouse and Network Operations team.
You'll be based at the heart of our national operation, working alongside the teams coordinating our fleet, drivers and freight movements across the network.
The role works
8 hours per day, Monday to Friday
, with rostered start and finish times scheduled between
6:00am and 6:00pm
to support our linehaul network.
This is an
onsite operational role and is not a hybrid or work-from-home position.
