Operating across ecommerce, fresh food and direct-to-consumer delivery, the business has built a solid customer proposition and is continuing to expand its product range and operational footprint. With growth comes increasing complexity, creating an opportunity for an experienced Head of Finance to strengthen the financial foundations of the business and support its next phase of scale.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting into senior leadership, the Head of Finance will take ownership of the finance function and play a key role in driving financial discipline, commercial visibility and sustainable growth across the business.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys building, fixing and improving. You will strengthen reporting and forecasting, improve visibility across cash flow, working capital and margins, and develop the systems, processes and controls required to support a scaling organisation.
Importantly, this is not a role that operates from behind a desk. You will partner closely with operations, procurement, marketing and senior leadership to understand the drivers of performance, solve problems at their source and turn financial information into practical commercial decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the finance function across reporting, budgeting, forecasting, governance and compliance
Own cash flow forecasting and drive improvements across working capital, inventory and supplier terms
Develop robust margin and profitability analysis across products, delivery and operational costs
Build meaningful KPI reporting to improve visibility across commercial and operational performance




Partner with operations, procurement and marketing to improve costs, margins and customer economics
Improve finance systems, processes, controls and automation to support future growth
Lead monthly reporting and provide clear commercial insights to senior leadership and key stakeholders
Evaluate new products, categories, partnerships and growth opportunities through financial modelling and analysis
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Proven finance leadership experience within a high-growth and operationally complex environment
Strong capability across cash flow management, working capital, forecasting and financial modelling
Experience within FMCG, food, ecommerce, logistics, subscription or other product and fulfilment-based businesses will be highly regarded
Demonstrated experience improving financial reporting, systems, processes and controls
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand margin and operational cost drivers
Proven ability to partner with and influence non-finance stakeholders
Hands-on, practical and comfortable moving between strategy and operational detail
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial information into clear commercial insights
