Join us as Investment Lead and play a pivotal role in driving prosperity for the region by attracting, facilitating and championing investment opportunities that create jobs, support industry growth and strengthen Ipswich's future. Working across council, government, industry and the private sector, you will identify and progress opportunities that support long-term economic prosperity and create lasting benefits for the Ipswich community.
In this role you will turn opportunity into action by connecting people, places and projects that support the city's growth. You will:
Lead the delivery of Council's investment attraction priorities, helping to drive economic growth, job creation and investment into the city
Build and foster strategic relationships with investors, developers, landowners, industry, commercial agents, associations and government partners to unlock and convert investment opportunities
Manage an investment pipeline aligned to priority sectors, locations and employment outcomes
Monitor economic, property and sector trends to inform investment attraction strategies, identify emerging opportunities and risks and inform decision making
Represent council at industry forums, stakeholder engagements, briefings and events to promote the city as an investment destination
You are a confident relationship builder who can bring people together around shared opportunities. You will bring:
A relevant tertiary qualification
Extensive experience in business development (government or non-government) or in a relevant industry-based consulting role
Exceptional stakeholder engagement, interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to successfully engage and work collaboratively with senior management, industry partners, community groups and external agencies.

About the benefits
This is a permanent, full time position with a salary commencing at $126,481 plus 12.5% superannuation.
