Location: Port Melbourne (No Parking Onsite – see transport information below)

Rate: $***** per hour + super

Shift Patterns
n
n
Day Shift - 7:00am - 3:00pm | 8:00am - 4:30pm
n
Afternoon: 2:45pm - 10:45pm
n
Peak Period: 8:15am - 7:45pm
n

About the Role
n
As a Data Entry Operator, you will support the accurate and timely processing of election results by entering data from ballot papers and election documentation into specialised systems. Working in a high-volume environment, you will be responsible for maintaining data integrity while following established procedures and security protocols.

Key Responsibilities
n

Accurately enter election data into specialised systems
n
Process information in line with VEC procedures and guidelines
n
Maintain a high level of accuracy when handling large volumes of data
n
Meet productivity and quality targets in a fast-paced environment
n
Handle sensitive election information with confidentiality and care
n
Identify and report data discrepancies or issues when required
n
Work with specialised software and in-house systems
n
Follow all VEC policies, procedures and security requirements
n
Provide support with other operational tasks as directed
n

About You
n
n
Previous experience in data entry, administration or processing environments
n
Fast and accurate keyboard skills, ideally achieving 7,******,000 keystrokes per hour
n
The ability to successfully complete an alphanumerical data entry test
n
Exceptional attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy
n
Strong literacy and numeracy skills
n
The ability to follow instructions and established procedures
n
Excellent concentration and the ability to stay focused during repetitive tasks
n
Confidence learning new systems and technology
n
A professional, reliable and confidential approach to work
n
n
This role may require
n
n
Sitting for extended periods of time
n
Maintaining focus on small print, handwritten information and computer screens
n
Regular use of a computer, keyboard and monitor for long periods
n




Working in a high-volume processing environment for extended shifts during peak periods
n

There is NO parking at the site. You must not drive to or attempt to park at site.

A free shuttle bus will run between Southern Cross Station and the venue for every shift. You are strongly advised to use this service.

Shuttle travel time sits OUTSIDE your rostered start and finish times and is not paid. Please factor this into your travel planning before accepting a roster.
