Join Our Team at Wavell Heights OSHC!
We're looking for enthusiastic and caring casual Educators to join our supportive team, working before school, after school, and during vacation care. Caring for up to 165 children, our service provides a warm, engaging environment where children are encouraged to learn, explore, and connect with their community.
A Day in the Life of an Educator...
Provide safe, caring, and interactive supervision of children
Model and support positive interactions with children
Build genuine, positive relationships with the local community
Foster positive interactions with and support for parents and families
Assist in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of programs consistent with current legislation and frameworks
Participate as a team member by maintaining positive working relationships
Adhere to and promote all regulations, policies, and procedures
Contribute to continuous improvement processes
Be actively involved in your own professional and personal development
Support and follow all reasonable workplace instructions
Responsibilities of an Inclusion Support Educator
Help facilitate the inclusion of children with additional needs, in co-operation with the Teacher/Director and the child's parents
Help create an inclusive environment that promotes competence, independence, exploration, and learning through play
Assist in preparing, implementing, and evaluating programs and resources to support the educational needs of the child/ren, consistent with current legislation and frameworks
Work collaboratively with outside specialists and other support services
Job Requirements:
Hold (or are working towards)
a Certificate III or Diploma in an ACECQA approved Education and Care qualification (preferred but not required)
Hold a current Queensland Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain)
Mandatory Child Protection (Geccko) Course 1 & 2 — Course 3 & 4 optional but highly regarded
