This is a senior technical leadership opportunity for an experienced Microservices and AI Technical Lead who can influence solution design, guide engineering decisions and embed AI-enabled practices across the software delivery lifecycle.

You will provide architectural authority across cloud-native, microservices and AI-enabled platforms while building the organisation's long-term engineering capability through governance, leadership and knowledge transfer.

What You'll Do
n

Provide technical leadership and architectural authority for the design, governance and evolution of cloud-native, microservices-based and AI-enabled platforms.
n
Ensure technology solutions align with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity and business transformation objectives.
n
Guide the adoption of AI across the software development and service delivery lifecycle.
n
Establish up-to-date engineering practices covering AI-enabled software development, DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability and platform engineering.
n
Lead the enhancement of microservices and event-driven architecture capabilities.
n
Drive platform modernisation through containerisation, enterprise system integration and reusable engineering patterns.
n
Improve the scalability, maintainability, security, reliability and operational resilience of business-critical platforms.
n
Influence system builds,



architecture decisions and technology investment priorities.
n
Provide technical direction to multidisciplinary teams, delivery partners and senior stakeholders.
n
Establish engineering governance and standards that support secure, scalable and reliable service delivery.

Build internal capability through coaching, knowledge transfer and practical leadership throughout delivery.

What You'll Bring

Extensive experience designing, implementing and governing cloud-native, microservices and event-driven architectures within complex enterprise environments.
n
A demonstrated record of delivering scalable, resilient and secure business-critical platforms.
n
Strong expertise in AI engineering and AI-enabled solution delivery.
n
Experience developing, deploying and operationalising enterprise AI capabilities, including semantic search and machine-learning solutions.
n
Knowledge of responsible AI principles, governance and implementation practices.
n
Strong software and platform engineering capability across modern development frameworks.
n
Practical expertise in DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, security by design and operational excellence.
n




Proven experience leading enterprise technology modernisation and transformation initiatives.
n
The ability to provide technical direction, influence architectural decisions and deliver measurable improvements in platform reliability, security, scalability and engineering maturity.
n
Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and leadership skills.
n
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivery partners while engaging effectively with senior executives.

The ability to translate complex business requirements into practical and achievable technology outcomes.

Experience designing, implementing and operating container platforms using Kubernetes, OpenShift, Azure Kubernetes Service, Amazon EKS or Google Kubernetes Engine.
n
Knowledge of container-platform automation, governance and workload management.
n
Experience with cloud-platform modernisation, Site Reliability Engineering, platform engineering and enterprise-scale automation.
n
Familiarity with contemporary observability platforms and practices.
n
Experience leading delivery within Agile environments.
n
Experience coaching geographically dispersed teams and driving organisation-wide capability uplift.
