Assistant Director (2IC) & Room Leader
to join our
Erskine Park
service.

About the role:
This is a
dual role
combining
Assistant Director (2iC)
responsibilities with
Room Leader
duties, offering the opportunity to lead both operationally and within the classroom.
In this position, you will:
Support the Centre Director
in the day‐to‐day leadership, operations, and compliance of the service, ensuring alignment with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Law and Regulations.
Step into the role of Responsible Person/Nominated Supervisor
when required, maintaining smooth service operations and regulatory compliance.
Lead, mentor and support educators
, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
Take ownership of a room
, managing daily operations, routines and educator performance within your team.
Plan, implement and evaluate educational programs
in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF V2.0).
Drive the assessment and planning cycle
, ensuring documentation and learning outcomes are meaningful and up to date.
Ensure child safety, wellbeing and compliance
,



including child protection and WHS requirements.
Support staff onboarding, training and performance management
, contributing to team development.
Build strong relationships with children, families and the community
.
Contribute to continuous improvement
, including the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and overall service performance.
About you:
ACECQA approved Diploma or Teaching Degree
in Early Childhood Education.
Minimum
3 years leadership experience
in an Early Childhood setting, or 5 years overall sector experience.
Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma management certifications.
Valid
Working With Children Check
and
Child Protection Training
.
Deep knowledge of the
National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations, and Child Care Subsidy system
.
Strong communication, mentoring and team‐building skills.
Passionate about inspiring both children and educators to reach their full potential.
