Deliver critical infrastructure powering Australia's digital future. UGL is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer - Fire Services (Wet & Dry) - to join the team delivering a major hyperscale data centre project in Melbourne. Reporting to the MEP Project Manager, and working with the MEP Construction Manager and Engineering Manager, you will take ownership of the delivery of all fire protection works across the project, leading and managing specialist fire services subcontractors from procurement and installation through testing, commissioning and handover. This site-based role requires practical delivery experience across wet fire services and dry fire detection, alarm and emergency warning systems, including their interfaces with other building services. This is a unique opportunity to work on one of Australia's most technically complex construction projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver mission-critical infrastructure while leveraging the global expertise of ACS Group, HOCHTIEF, Turner and Leighton Asia.
Key Responsibilitiesn

Lead the delivery of wet and dry fire systems, ensuring safe, compliant installation and achievement of project milestones.
n
Manage fire subcontractors, resources, procurement and productivity to maintain programme, cost and quality outcomes.
n
Coordinate fire protection interfaces across mechanical, electrical, BMS, security, civil and architectural disciplines.
n
Review and control technical submissions, design changes,



RFIs and variations to ensure compliance with the approved fire strategy.

Plan and execute testing, commissioning and integrated systems verification, driving defect resolution and certification.
n
Deliver complete project handover documentation, training, approvals and operational acceptance for seamless occupancy.

About Youn
n
Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
n
Proven experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer delivering fire services packages on major construction projects.
n
Demonstrated experience managing specialist subcontractors and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
n
Experience delivering projects in data centres, hospitals, defence facilities, airports, laboratories or large-scale commercial developments will be highly regarded.
n
Solid leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
n
Ability to work within a fast-paced project environment and drive successful project outcomes.
