This is the engine room role. You will own accounts and administration end to end, taking it off the Managing Director's desk so the leadership team can focus on growth. You will hit the ground running and own the accounts function from day one. What we will teach you is our industry, our fleet and our customers.
You will not be a bookkeeper in a back office. You will sit in the middle of a busy hire operation, talk to customers and suppliers every day, and be across everything that keeps a growing business running. As the business grows, so do you, with many potential pathways along the way. Key responsibilities
Accounts receivable: invoicing, statements, payment follow up and account queries
Accounts payable: supplier invoice entry, PO matching and payment runs in our accounting platform
Supplier setup and payment processing, following established company policy
Customer account records, credit applications and hire documentation
Phones and inbound enquiries, shared with the team, with a quick,



friendly response every time
Office administration, record keeping, and insurance and compliance filing
Documenting office processes and procedures as we grow
Provide reporting and ad hoc support to the directors
Backup support to the hire room during busy periods and leave
About you
Proven, self-sufficient experience running AR and AP end to end, without supervision
Fluency in Xero, MYOB or a similar accounting platform
Accuracy and follow through, especially with invoicing and supplier payments
Confident, friendly phone manner and clear written communication
Confident with technology and quick to pick up new systems
Sound organisation to run a busy office without being chased
