With a strong pipeline of major infrastructure work across Victoria, we are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Project Manager to join our Major Projects division based in Hallam.
About the Role
This is a hands‐on, client‐facing role for a Project Manager who takes ownership, builds strong relationships and is confident operating in a fast‐paced major projects setting.
Whether you're already an established Project Manager or an experienced Senior Project Engineer ready to take the next step, you'll need to be proactive, commercially aware and comfortable representing Lantrak directly with Tier 1 contractors and senior project stakeholders.
You'll manage multiple projects across Victoria, working between the office and project sites and coordinating closely with clients, subcontractors and Lantrak's internal operations teams.
Beyond strong project delivery capability, we're looking for someone who can build credibility with clients, communicate with confidence and take the initiative to drive projects forward. You'll be expected to identify issues early, make sound decisions and maintain momentum when project conditions or priorities change.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the delivery of multiple civil and major infrastructure projects across Victoria.




Develop and maintain strong relationships with Tier 1 contractors, project teams and key stakeholders.
Represent Lantrak confidently in client meetings, project reviews and on site.
Coordinate material supply, material disposal, truck hire and plant hire services.
Manage projects from mobilisation through to ongoing delivery and completion.
Monitor project performance, budgets, schedules and commercial outcomes.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and internal operational teams.
Maintain a strong understanding of site activities and proactively resolve delivery issues.
Identify project risks, efficiencies and opportunities to improve commercial and operational outcomes.
Assist with project planning, tendering and mobilisation of new projects.
Maintain clear communication between clients, site teams and Lantrak operations.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual requirements.
About You
You'll ideally bring:
Experience as a Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer or similar within civil construction or major infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of civil construction and practical project delivery.




Experience working with Tier 1 contractors or on major infrastructure projects.
Strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to engage with clients at all levels.
A proactive approach and the ability to take ownership without requiring constant direction.
Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of budgets, costs, contracts and project performance.
The ability to manage competing priorities and make considered decisions in a fast‐moving environment.
Strong negotiation, communication and relationship‐building skills.
A practical, solutions‐focused approach and willingness to spend time on site.
The ability to remain composed and effective when managing challenging project situations.
A high level of personal accountability and a genuine drive to achieve strong project and client outcomes.
