Salary: RN/M2A $107,487 - $114,917 p.a. (pro rata) + 12% Superannuation + Leave Loading and Salary Sacrifice Benefits
Permanent Part time position working 60.8 hours per fortnight, over a 7 day roster
Overview
Port Lincoln Hospital's Midwifery Group Practice is looking for an experienced midwife ready to step into a leadership role that genuinely shapes the care experience for women and families across the Eyre Peninsula. This is a part-time, ongoing opportunity to lead with purpose in one of South Australia's most distinctive regional health settings.
What You'll Be Leading
Provide direct midwifery care to MGP clients while promoting continuity and consistency across the care continuum
Contribute to the implementation of practice changes and improvements in service delivery within Port Lincoln Health Services
Oversee midwifery care quality within the MGP team, supporting a smooth and person-centred experience for maternity clients
Mentor and support junior midwives across a variety of health service settings, helping them develop from competent to proficient practitioners
What You Bring
Current registration (or eligibility for registration) as a Midwife or Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, including a current practising certificate
A minimum of three years full-time equivalent post-registration experience in midwifery
Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and direction to student midwives and less experienced registered midwives
Strong communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills that support a cohesive multidisciplinary team
Experience within or a genuine commitment to continuity of care models such as MGP
Alignment with SA Health's commitment to improving health outcomes in regional and remote communities
