Description
Toowoomba Workshop | Monday-Friday | Casual or Permanent Chance
MFE is looking for an experienced
Pipe Fitter
to join our Toowoomba Workshop team and support a strong pipeline of upcoming works.
With workload continuing to build through to November, this is a great opportunity to join a busy workshop environment where you'll work across a variety of piping and fabrication activities and play an important role in delivering quality outcomes for our projects and clients.
Whether you're looking for the flexibility of casual employment or the stability of a permanent position, we're open to discussing the option that works best for the right person.
Working alongside our Workshop Supervisor and broader trades team, you'll undertake pipe fitting, fabrication and maintenance activities in accordance with drawings, job packs and project specifications.




Your responsibilities will include:
Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications and job packs
Pipe fitting and fabrication activities
Welding across various steel types where appropriately qualified
Mechanical maintenance, dismantling, repair and reassembly of equipment
Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
Supporting other trades and workshop activities as required
Completing work to required quality, safety and productivity standards
Undertaking quality checks and identifying defects or non-conformances
Working collaboratively with supervisors to meet daily priorities and project deadlines
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
Contributing to continuous improvement and LEAN/5S practices
About You
Here's what you'll need to thrive:
Relevant Trade Certificate
Previous experience in pipe fitting, fabrication or a similar trade environment
Ability to read and work from technical drawings and specifications
Strong commitment to safety and quality
Current White Card
Current Open C Class Driver Licence
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Additional welding, rigging, scaffolding, confined space or other relevant tickets will be highly regarded
