We are looking for a
Senior Accountant
to join our internal Finance team on a
6-month Fixed term
role.
You will be responsible for the completion of all
month-end tasks
, preparing monthly Business Activity Statements
(BAS)
, and assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements.
What You Will Be Doing:
Completing all month-end tasks for the Australian business, including preparing journals, GL reconciliations, investigation, and rectification of any discrepancies.
Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of monthly financial and management accounting information for the Australian business.
Preparing monthly BAS in an accurate and timely manner.
Assisting with the preparation of required working papers and documentation for auditors.
Managing the fixed asset register and asset valuations.
Supporting junior members of the Finance Team and sharing your skills and knowledge.
Supporting Finance team with ad-hoc projects.
Assisting with strategies for continuous improvement, managing financial risk, and incorporating changes to accounting standards and legislation.
About You:
CA/CPA qualified with 5+ years of experience in a similar or public practice role.
Advanced Excel skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork.
Ideally have experience with Xero.
Robust attention to detail.
Forward-thinker.
Organised and strong time management skills.
