Pay: $***** - $***** p/h + Super
As the Assistant Director at Goodstart Wantirna, you'll leverage your expertise and leadership to inspire and motivate your centre team, driving continuous improvement across all areas of centre operations. Collaborate with our dedicated leadership team, forge respectful and reciprocal relationships with families, and actively engage with the local community networks.
About Goodstart Wantirna
Goodstart Wantirna is a 120-place purpose-built long day care centre located at 309 Mountain Highway. Featuring five spacious learning environments and three outdoor play areas, our centre provides high-quality education and care for children from nursery through to kindergarten, with a strong focus on play-based learning and school readiness.
Full-time Assistant Director role – working Monday to Friday on a rotating roster between 6:30am – 6:30pm
120-place centre with multiple age-based learning environments

Exceeding National Quality Standard with strong focus on EYLF and play-based learning
Experienced, long-standing and supportive leadership team
As the Assistant Director, you will partner closely with the Centre Director to support the day-to-day operations and lead the delivery of high-quality education and care. This role is ideal for a confident and experienced early childhood leader who can drive consistency, mentor educators and embed best practice.




Support the Centre Director in leading daily operations and centre performance
Provide strong leadership, coaching and development to educators
Embed and drive quality practices aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
Ensure compliance with NQS, regulatory standards and policies
Build strong relationships with children, families and the community
Contribute to continuous improvement and quality outcomes
Work within a full-time rotating roster and support across rooms as required
