About the work unit / facility:
Early Psychosis Integrated Care (EPIC)
is a specialised clinical mental health service for adolescents and young adults aged ***** experiencing early psychosis. The service provides proactive treatment within the community, working closely with young people, their families and carers to support early recognition, recovery and wellbeing.

value up to $40,895 p.a. comprising:

About your opportunity:
Join the EPIC team as a
Peer Worker
, using your lived experience to connect with and support young people experiencing early psychosis. You'll bring a valuable peer perspective to their recovery, helping consumers identify their strengths and goals, navigate their journey and feel understood and supported. Working alongside the multidisciplinary team, you'll advocate for consumers and contribute to recovery-focused, person-centred care.
Requirements:
Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act **** (Qld), there is a genuine occupational requirement for the successful applicant to have a personal lived/living experience of mental health and/or substance use challenges.
Certificate IV in Peer Work, or the ability to undertake is
highly desirable
Experience in the public health or NGO sector as a Lived Experience (Peer) Worker is
highly desirable
This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
Probation period may apply.
