Job Description
Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort
Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort is currently seeking proactive and reliable Handypersons to join our team in both Full-Time and Casual positions. These roles are essential in ensuring our resort remains well-presented, safe, and welcoming for both guests and team members.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys creating a safe, well-maintained setting for guests and colleagues alike. As part of our team, you'll be the go-to person for repairs and maintenance, working across guest rooms, public areas, resort facilities, and back-of-house areas to ensure everything operates at its best.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Carry out general repairs and maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and resort facilities
Complete painting, patching, and minor refurbishment works as required
Oversee and support external contractors when required
Implement and maintain the property's preventative maintenance program
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and operational issues
Keep accurate records of daily tasks, maintenance requests, and service schedules




Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company policies and procedures
Position Details:
Full-Time and Casual opportunities available
Flexible roster across seven days, including weekends and public holidays
Additional hours may be available based on operational requirements
Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):
Monday - Friday: $***** per hour
Saturday: $***** per hour
Sunday: $***** per hour
Qualifications
Previous hands-on experience in building, facilities, or property maintenance (12 months preferred but not essential)
Previous painting experience highly regarded
Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Solid communication and interpersonal abilities
A genuine commitment to delivering high standards of service
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
Trade qualifications or relevant licences will be highly regarded but are not essential
