Are you an experienced fixed plant professional who enjoys sharing your knowledge, developing others and helping build a stronger safety culture?
Our client is a respected and safety-focused Australian gold producer looking for a confident Fixed Plant Trainer/Assessor to join their team in the Northeast Pilbara of Western Australia.
This is a great opportunity to step into a hands-on and varied training role, working closely with site teams to ensure employees are trained, competent and ready to safely perform their roles.
The position will initially be offered on a 3-month contract, with a view to becoming permanent for the right person. We're open to both candidates looking for a contract opportunity and those interested in long-term stability.
The Opportunity
Working on an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster with flights on Fridays, you'll work alongside another experienced trainer as part of a supportive and established training team.
You'll be joining at an exciting time, with the team preparing for a major mill shutdown in November. This is a great prospect for someone who enjoys variety, is confident working across site and wants to make a genuine impact through quality training and assessment.
What You'll Be Doing
Deliver training and assessments across a range of fixed plant operations
Conduct VOCs for high-risk work including confined space, working at heights, forklifts, loaders, EWPs, cranes and gantry cranes
Support and oversee permit to work processes and isolation procedures
Facilitate general inductions for new starters and contractors
Maintain accurate training records and compliance documentation
Work closely with site supervisors and safety teams to ensure training aligns with operational requirements
Support the wider training team as required
About You
You're an experienced and confident fixed plant professional who genuinely enjoys developing people and sharing your knowledge.
You're hands-on, adaptable and comfortable working in an operational environment where no two days are necessarily the same. You understand the importance of safety, compliance and competency, and you're confident engaging with people across all levels of site.
Most importantly, you're someone who can hit the ground running and help fill an important gap within an established training team.
What We're Looking For
Solid experience working in fixed plant operations
Previous experience delivering training and/or VOCs
Experience with a combination of:
Confined Space
Working at Heights
Loaders
EWPs

Gantry Cranes
Strong understanding of permit to work and isolation procedures
Cert IV in Training and Assessment (TAE***** or equivalent) highly desirable
Ability to work an 8/6 FIFO roster
Available for an immediate or short-notice start
What's On Offer?
$70 - $85 per hour, depending on experience
Initial 3-month contract with a view to permanent
FIFO 8/6 roster with flights on Fridays
Opportunity to join a well-established and safety-focused team
Varied, hands-on training role
Play a key role in supporting site operations ahead of a major November shutdown
