Imperial Truck Repairs is looking for qualified and experienced Welders to join our team in Kembla Grange, NSW.
n
Position Overview:
n
The Welder will do repairs and maintenance of a range of trailers ranging from minor to major repairs.
n
Duties and responsibilities:
n
n
Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
n
Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
n
Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
n
Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
n
Weld components using welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
n
Repair and maintain trailers by welding pieces and filling gaps
n




Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flawsMaintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
n
n
Requirements and skills:
n
n
Trade qualification in Welding – desirable or at least 3 years of proven experience as Welder
n
Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures
n
Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
n
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
n
Familiarity with executing various welding operations and processes in compliance with safety policies.
n
Be able to follow and carry out instructions cooperatively and accurately.
n
Have a can-do attitude and want to learn.
n
n
Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 annually.
