We're looking for an experienced
Accounts Officer / Bookkeeper
to join our finance team and support the Australian and New Zealand operations.
Reporting to the
Group Accountant
, you'll play an important role in keeping the finance function running smoothly — from accounts payable and receivable through to reconciliations, employee expenses, banking and general finance administration.

What you'll be doing
Manage
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
, including invoice processing, reconciliations, payment preparation and receipt allocation
Process employee expenses, reimbursements and provide payroll administration support
Process banking and cash transactions and complete bank reconciliations
Assist with foreign-currency transactions
Maintain accurate project accounting records and ensure costs and expenses are correctly allocated
Support month-end processing, GST and statutory reporting
Maintain financial records, spreadsheets, registers and supporting documentation
Work within established finance procedures and internal controls
Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and systems
Respond to routine supplier and customer account queries
What we're looking for
You'll ideally have:
Previous experience in
bookkeeping, accounts or finance administration




Hands-on
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
experience
Experience entering and reconciling financial transactionsExperience using accounting software
Great
Microsoft Excel
skills
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
The ability to manage routine deadlines and competing priorities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of
GST
A
Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping
or equivalent qualification would be highly regarded.
Experience across
Australia and New Zealand, project/job-cost accounting, foreign currency, payroll or finance system implementations
would also be advantageous.
