Springmount Services is a 100% Australian owned and operated integrated services company with over **** staff nationwide. Among the largest suppliers of contract cleaning services in Australia, we are on the front foot with developing and implementing new technologies to improve service outcomes for our clients using robotics, staff management systems and client portals. This role will be based at the Brisbane Southside Head Office however may require some local and interstate travel to support our operations.
About the role
The Rehabilitation Co-Ordinator at Springmount Services is responsible for providing comprehensive support in managing WorkCover files, incident reporting, rehabilitation of injured workers and ensuring compliance with workers' compensation regulations.
Reporting to the Chief Corporate Officer, the Rehabilitation Co-Ordinator plays a vital role in minimizing lost time due to work-related injuries and ensuring a highly functional claims process.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Report to the Chief Corporate Officer on WorkCover matters and provide regular updates.
Assist the Chief Corporate Officer with incident reporting, ensuring all necessary files, forms, and data are completed and retained.
Proactively investigate incidents that may potentially develop into WorkCover claims, identifying potential risks and taking appropriate actions.
Liaise with the Claims Manager, Operational staff, and legal representatives to facilitate effective claims management.
Handle Springmount Services' Workcover email, promptly responding to inquiries and providing necessary information.




Ensure accurate processing of claims to ensure timely and appropriate financial payouts to eligible individuals.
Actively participate as a member of the Springmount Corporate Services team, collaborating on assigned projects and contributing to the development of team members' knowledge and skills.
Identify common risks and problems in workers' roles that contribute to injuries and
Apply injury management principles and practices appropriately, promoting a proactive and effective approach to injury prevention and rehabilitation.
Work with nominated providers to complete fitness capacity reviews for workers recovering from injuries or those identified as being at risk of injury.
Demonstrate flexibility and a drive for service delivery innovation, seeking continuous improvement opportunities within the role.
Answer worker and operational staff questions, ensuring understanding and satisfaction, or elevate to more senior staff when necessary.
Update the payroll system in conjunction with the Senior Payroll Officer to ensure employees participating in RTW plans are paid correctly each fortnight.
Safety
Understand and adhere to Workplace Health and Safety policies, Security policies and Emergency procedures on and off-site.




Promote secure work practices/lead by example.
Ensure you are aware of all WHS compliance responsibilities contained within the Company Policies and Procedures as well as your individual obligations under the relevant legislation. This is to be completed at the time of induction and refreshed as required.
